New Flex Charting Components - WOW!

You have got to see these! The new components that will work with Flex 3 are awesome, to say the least. Gantt Charts, 3D charts, Gauges, Tree Maps and more.

Okay, words can only say so much, so…

I have two things for you:

and you can get the new components and test them out by visiting the ILOG site at:

They haven’t set a pricing model let alone a price, but they try to give you an idea by saying it’ll be around $800/developer.

That looks cool, but it got me thinking. How did they create their own markup?

You can use a manifest file to create your own markup for your SWC files.  Here's a link to a Flex 3 doc talking about it:

Also you can find some of the same functionality (Tree Maps for example) from Flare (flare.prefuse.org) but that library can be difficult to use from Flex.
